Tour Itinerary Day 1: Mountainbike the Death Road 3345 meters of vertical descents in over 64 km!! This breathtaking, bike ride down the road to Coroico offers the chance to experience the adrenaline rush of hurtling down what has become famously known as the ‘world’s most dangerous road’. The adventure begins in the thin air of La Cumbre, at a frigid altitude of 4670m, encircled by the rugged snow capped mountains of the Cordillera Real. We roll down the first part that is smoothly paved whilst enjoying the Andes peaks around us. Halfway down the road changes into a narrow dirt road - experience the freedom of the vast open spaces as the trail winds its way through a spectacular and bottomless valley into the lush vegetation of the temperate Yungas jungle. On the way you will get to see waterfalls and some streams have to be crossed. The mountain biking bliss is concluded in Yolosa. From there we drive up to Coroico where hot showers, a pool, and a delicious buffet lunch are waiting. Maximize your comfort and security with our Canadian hand-made, double suspension, specialized downhill bikes “RMX” with hydraulic brakes and our experienced English-speaking guides. – Our experience, the service we provide and the well-maintained bikes guarantee that you can fully enjoy this spectacular downhill ride. Overnight stay: Eco-Lodge "Las Cascadas" "Las Cascadas" is located in the North Yungas region, the doorway to Bolivia’s Amazonia. It is comprised of 150 hectares, with 7 distinct waterfalls, which can be visited. The Eco-Lodge ¨Las Cascadas¨ has a capacity of 16 people, with 4 double rooms and 2 luxurious cabins for 3-5 people. There is also a camping area for 30 people with bathrooms, hot showers, a restaurant, swimming pool, open air whirl pool, barbecue facilities, game room, a soccer field, a volleyball court, and a tree house lookout which is accessed by a suspension bridge. Day 2: Hiking and Flying Fox After breakfast we will go for a walk through the jungle to the waterfalls that are located on the property. During your hike along its private Pre-Inca trails to the cascades, you can observe the lush vegetation as well as coffee and traditional coca plantations and tropical fruits. Afterwards, you can give the death road wings will experience how it is to fly the death road - we will let you fly 200 meters above the ground, across a beautiful jungle valley obove the death road, for the distance of one kilometer along a ½ inch cable of German steel! After this adrenalin rush, will be time for swimming and relaxing. Enjoy a delicious traditional meal before coming back to La Paz.
